1. Pangaea Ring –Mr. Debbie-

Hello! I am Debbie Krisher-Steele, vice chair of Japan Relief for Cambodia & World Assistance for Cambodia. Our organization has built over 550 rural schools all over Cambodia and we have added computer and English-language classes in many of these schools. A few months ago, we had the wonderful opportunity to begin a partnership with Pangaea. Children from the Hironaka School in Prear Vihear province were able to experience real-time learning activities using the internet with children in Japan through a workshop developed and led by Pangaea.
The students learned about agriculture and also about each other. Right now (as I write this), the Pangaea team is back in Cambodia conducting a second workshop in Kandal province at the Bright Future Kids Home, a scholarship program for academically advanced students from our rural schools. These workshops will also include children from A New Life Orphanage which is located next to the Bright Future Kids Home.
The orphans at this orphanage have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. One of our older students is currently being trained as a facilitator to help run future workshops and we hope to conduct these workshops every two weeks. I have been receiving enthusiastic messages from the kids about this exciting new project. Thank you, Pangaea, for providing these wonderful learning opportunities to our kids.
I'm impressed by the remarkable way you have been able to connect and engage children across all continents and time zones. In the Pangaea world, there are truly no oceans that separate us!

2. Summer School: KISSY have become under the auspices of UNESCO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan!!

We are preparing for KISSY in Kyoto. So I'd like to report the progress. Firstly, we got the support of UNECO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, board of education in Kyoto city. I'm pleased that KISSY was observed from public institutions.
Secondly, because the number of participants reached capacity, we stop the recruitment of new one. 25 youths will participate with the activity
(Japan: 14 youths, Korea: 7 youths, Kenya: 2 youths, Cambodia: 2youths)
Thank you for your applying and attention to KISSY.

We are making materials for KISSY with imaging the kids is enjoying the activity. I'm looking forward to how youths communicate with others who have no common languages.

3．Cambodia location design supporter, Mr. Erik
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Erik, who had been in charge of our designs such as Pangaea Net at Kyoto Pangaea Office, supported our Cambodia start-up. He now lives in Sweden but was willing to design our Cambodia site to appear on the Pangaea Net over e-mail exchanges. We are very grateful of his continued support even after he left Kyoto. Pangaea activities are supported by many people from various locations outside of Kyoto, such as people helping us with translations. Let me address our sincere thanks to all supporters!
