 Language Grid Press Conference

A press conference of Language Grid project by NICT (National Institute of Information and Communications Technology) was held at Marunouchi Building in Tokyo, Japan. The Language Grid Project is an R&D project that aims to build supportive environment for multicultural collaboration activities to achieve universal communication. This project is based on collaboration between industry, government, universities, and citizens. Practical systems will be released within three years. It was also announced that NPO Pangaea takes part in this project as the partner.

 International Cultural Exchange Workshop

Pangaea was invited to give a keynote speech at the 'Training Workshop of Activists for activating Youth International Cultural Exchange.' held at MIZY center in Seoul. On the first day, we gave a keynote speech on the current situation of NGO/NPO management with the theme of 'The Role and Professionalism of the Activists for Youth International Cultural Exchange' On the second day, we had an opportunity to make a speech on the Pangaea workshop with the theme of 'International Cultural Practice beyond Language, Time and Place'.

 Academic Article: Pictgram Communication

An academic article titled "International communication support for children utilizing pictogram" written by T. Takasaki, Vice President, was on a featured article of the "Communication support" on the March 2006 issue of the magazine "The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers magazine" published by IEICE(The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.)

 Intercultural Collaboration Article

An academic article titled "Intercultural Collaboration: Intercultural Communication for Children" written by Y. Mori, President, was on a feature article of the "Multi Cultural Collaboration" on the March issue of the magazine "Information Processing" published by IPSJ(Information Processing Society of Japan.)
